Tariff History

When looking at this chart the X marks the spot. Two huge oppositions: Transit Venus in 8th house karmic obligations, agreements, contracts is opposing Natal Pluto in the 2nd house of earnings, values and self worth. Transformation on the 2/8 axis, especially with Pluto in an opposition would foretell a crisis. Then you add tranisting Uranus opposite natal Saturn. Natal Saturn in libra dictates the fairness and justice in goals, friends, allies, supporters, benefactors. Sudden events are caused by Uranus in Aries which rules creativity, children, pleasure, hobbies, theater. The transiting nodes are moving from fixed Taurus/Scorpio (6th/12th axis) into the cardinal energy of Aries/Libra (5/11 axis). We just experienced the Aries/Libra nodes moving into the Pisces/Virgo (4/10 axis) in January 2025. The nodes tranist each sign approximately 18 months. We have finally exited the Aries/Libra eclipse energy that started in 2023. Neptune at the top of the chart in the first degree of Virgo is very important. Neptune makes a square to Mercury in Gemini and an opposition to both transit and natal moon. I am attaching some of the events that took place between 1930 and 1932. 📉 Summary

Between 1930 and 1932, the U.S. was plunged into its worst economic crisis in history. The Great Depression devastated industries, banks, farms, and families. It led to mass suffering, shifting political landscapes, and laid the groundwork for Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal after his election in 1932.

The first thing I saw on this synastry was the Transiting Sun conjunct the Transiting South Node conjunct the natal North Node. The transiting nodes are reversed to the natal nodes. While this may show as a fated event, it highlights losses on the Leo/Aquarius Axis or 3rd house/9th house axis. This axis rules education, beliefs, interactions, communications, agreements in commerce and law. The 9th house also rules foreign trade and agreements. The 3rd house rules commerce within your local area. Transiting Saturn conjunct Pluto in the 12th house is making a trine to the natal mercury in the 8th house. This would point to deep karmic transformations concerning obligations, other peoples money, foreign sources of income, agreements or contracts already made. The ruler of the 12th house Mars is conjunct the ruler of the Sibley Chart - Jupiter in Virgo 10th house. Jupiter is debilitated in Virgo as a "big thinker" trying to make improvements to the intricacies. Mars in Virgo is determined to take actions to improve or perfect. Because this conjunction is taking place at the top of the chart, as this act was passed, confusion, unreliability and possibly distrust began to cloud the public reputation (Natal Neptune in 10th house)

Lots of action on the 2/8 axis with squares and oppositions. Jupiter is the ruler of the US chart and it is in the place of things hidden, isolation, weakness, self sabotage, hidden enemies. This square to the Nodes is fated/karmic. Since the 12th house is also a place that can concern foreign monies, we can say that this action created karma and self sabotage for the US.
