Venus
Venus is considered a personal planet, which basically means that the effects of Venus Energy happen both internally and externally. Venus rules over our desires.
On August 13, 2023, Venus and the Sun make a conjunction also known as a Cazimi. This begins a new cycle for Venus in which it changes from an Evening Star to a Morning Star.
As a Morning Star our energies toward our desires become more aggressive. We want to go after our dreams with strategy and focus.
My own personal Venus is in my first house ruled by Pisces.
The first house holds our identity. Appearance, Health and how we see ourselves in the material realm.
My Venus is also conjunct Chiron. Chiron represents our deepest wounds. Because this conjunction falls in my first house, it affirms these particular areas are where my deepest wounds are felt.
My Appearance: As a young child I was fixated on a scar on the bridge of my nose. My mom said that I got the scar while we were playing on her bed and I fell into the headboard. I don't remember the incident, but I do remember staring into the mirror and wishing I could change my nose and the scar that made it look weird.
My Health: I have had issues with my health all of my life. As a kid, Asthma controlled a lot of the activities that I could do. I was involved in a school bus accident that not only caused physical injuries but a deep trauma. As an adult, various spinal issues, have left me with nerve damage that make it difficult to maneuver, walk, exercise etc. I have also had breathing issues in which I had to be put into a medically induced Coma three times. My mental health has also been a challenge since the comas.
My Identity: Throughout my life I tried to be the person that others needed and that it was my purpose to support, encourage and do what I could to make sure that the people that were important in my life were happy. It has taken me 55 years to understand that I had put a lot of effort into other people and not myself. While that is definitely a Pisces trait, the Venus/Chiron conjunction in this house has affirmed that my deepest wounds were the biggest part of my identity. They caused a great deal of pain throughout my life both internally and externally.
Venus rules Taurus and Libra. It is also considered "Exalted" in Pisces, which means that Taurus and Libra are the homes of Venus and its desires. Pisces is the place in which Venus is served.
Taurus rules my third house. The third house holds the way we understand and move around in our environment. This includes How we Communicate and Travel in our communities. It also includes our education, siblings, neighbors, the technology we use and the way we travel locally. Taurus rules our material realm, resources, money, senses, sensuality, love, and nurturing. Since Venus is conjunct Chiron in Pisces and rules my third house. It affirms the issues that I have had with these themes through the insecurity I felt in my own environment.
Libra rules my eighth house. The eighth hose holds our transformation and obligations. This includes our partners money and the seriousness with which they feel obligated to fulfill the role of partner through finances, sex and commitment. Libra rules balance, justice, appearance, judgment, and decision making. The Venus/Chiron conjunction affirms the issues I have had with the amount of help I received from my life partner, along with the balance in our sex life, money and obligations.
I am taking this opportunity to focus on the desires that Venus Rules in my own Natal Chart.
